I’m just going to be straight with you guys: by far the most interesting part of my past week was watching Beyonce’s halftime show. I didn’t watch any of the Superbowl because I don’t care about football unless it includes an inspiring peptalk from Coach Eric Taylor, but you know I streamed Bey’s performance. She was great, as always, and I literally gasped when Destiny’s Child vaulted up from the bowels of the stage. Anyway, let’s get on with the links!
Rashida Jones always seems charming, funny, and down-to-earth in interviews. It seemed like she kept getting pushed into boring-girlfriend roles for awhile, so I’m glad to see she’s writing/making so much awesome stuff lately.
Guys? Lenny Kravitz has a documentary. So I guess I need to see this documentary.
As if there weren’t enough reasons to love Yes and yes, how about this one: 9 Days of Nice.
Welcome to the best song ever: The (2) Chain(z), by Fleetwood Mac and 2 Chainz.
We Need to Stop Obsessing Over Walking Down the Aisle, says Jezebel, and for once I say I AGREE JEZEBEL.
Time management tips I should probably follow from xoJane. Log your time! Outsource! Change your habits!
Definitely the funniest post you’ll read about Guy Fieri and Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives this week.
Summer Pierre wrote this really honest and lovely post about change. In it, she mentions that her book The Artist in the Office is going out of print. It’s one of my favorite inspiration-reads, and you should probably all go get a copy while you can from Amazon or Indiebound or where ever you buy your books.
A list of things that Jayne’s mom made her look up on her phone: “What castle is Downton Abbey filmed at? How many bedrooms?”
And finally, I started a Tumblr companion for Welcome to Ladyville! It’s probably not necessary, but it exists anyway. It will be mostly Gilmore Girls information, pictures of Elton John, and Prince GIFs, so if that’s what you’re into, you should probably follow me. Actually, just follow me either way.
